Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Dawkhaus (“Dawkhaus,” “we,” “us”) collects through dawkhaus.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies only to the Site, not to information handled under a separate property management agreement.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the “Tell Us About Your Home” form, we collect your full name, email address and property location, and, if you choose to provide them, a property listing link, your preferred timing and any message you write. If you email or call us, we receive the information you share in that conversation.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site receives technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the referring website. This is used to deliver the Site securely and, where enabled, to understand how visitors use it.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and discuss our property management services with you.
- To keep a record of our communications and manage our relationship with prospective and current homeowners.
- To protect the Site and the inquiry form against spam, abuse and fraud.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use the information you submit to send marketing emails unless you ask us to keep you informed. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
Service providers
We use trusted service providers to operate the Site and our business. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, security, and spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), which evaluates browser signals to tell people from automated bots.
- Resend — delivers the email notification of your inquiry to our team.
- Google — Google Workspace for our business email and, where enabled, Google Analytics for aggregate website statistics.
- Customer relationship management tools — where used, to organize inquiries and follow-up.
Cookies and analytics
The Site itself does not use advertising cookies. Where Google Analytics is enabled, it uses cookies and similar technologies to measure visits and whether an inquiry was submitted; it does not receive the contents of the inquiry form. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security. The Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with the service providers described above; when required by law or to protect our rights, our users or the public; or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, in which case the information would remain subject to this policy.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and manage our relationship, and as required for legal, tax or accounting purposes. Security records used to prevent spam, such as anonymized network identifiers, are kept for a short period, generally no more than 24 hours. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. California residents may, for example, have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We will respond to verifiable requests as required by applicable law.
To make a request, contact us through the inquiry form on our home page with the subject of your request in the message field. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites
The Site may link to other websites, such as our social media pages or property listings. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
